Time for Round II. A hot and sweaty summer night gig in a small town called Äänekoski.
I might be getting better at this. Gig photography is a breed of its own and based on feedback from my previous shoot, I figured it might be worth another try. What the hell, right? Mostly due to coincidence, me and my trusty backpack ended up in this town just in time to catch the show. This time around I experimented with bolder camera angles and tried to capture more of that attitude I keep hearing so much about, I didn't want to end up with an album of material just like the previous one.
The audience mostly kept their distance from the stage and made my work that much easier, despite some drink spilling misbehaving drunken Friday night loons. Oh it would've been all too easy if it weren't for my own exhaustion and slight dehydration, not to mention the fact that I had cycled over 70km with full gear on my back that day.
None of my video recordings truly captured Elias Kahila Band's true artistic intent, and I respectfully removed them. However, If you're willing to accept the bad audio quality of the recording itself, one of these videos can be found here. Check out Elias Kahila's Youtube channel for better recordings.
